Te Whare Tapa Wha

 One way to describe how to be healthy.

Last term we began looking at Te Whare Tapa Wha. 


This is the wall display we finished recently to show the four-sided House of Hauora  (health).

The four parts to good health are: 

Taha Physical (tinana)

Taha Hinengaro ( mental/ mind health

Taha Whanau (family/relationships)

Taha Wairua (spiritual).

This term we have begun doing fitness then mindfulness every day. This is good for our taha wairua and our taha hinengaro and we think probably our taha whanau too.  Now we are so responsible about this helpful practice we are running the sessions ourselves. 

We are YMS HEROs every day in every way!!
