Sticky Question (T3 - Week 9)

Well it's the start of another week so it's time for another sticky question. Remember to talk about it with your friends and family so that you can consider all the differing points of view

This week's sticky question is ...

Well? Can they? If they can, is it for the better or for the worst? I'm looking forward to reading your justifications around your answer to this question.

No I don't think one person can change the world. I do however believe that one person can inspire others to jointly achieve a goal.

Look into the lives, passions, beliefs behind some of these people and you will see what I mean. For the best and worst, these peoples ideas have changed the lives of millions of people.

    Adolf Hitler
    Jesus Christ
    Kate Sheppard
    Rosa Parks

I wonder who has inspired you to learn a new skill eg a trick on your skateboard, a new way of painting a picture.

There are so many inspiring people in this world, I wonder as you grow up, who's ideas you will follow or what ideas you will have that will inspire others to change the world alongside you.

  2. Hi Class
Love the sticky question for this week it is such a good one. Yes I think one person can change the world because if one person stands up and profs right the other people with stand up with this person and it just keeps getting bigger. It is kind of like Rosa Parks because she stood up and then more and more stood up and she chaned the world. This is my respoes to the stiky question. What do you think?

  3. Hello
I do think you 1 person can change the world, Some people have already done that this is how. If you want to change the world you need to inspire people. That can go a long way instead of just saying "join me".

There's many more ways you can do it like... For a start you would be doing something and as long as people keep in the stage of agreeing and that is mostly all you need.

People like Rosa parks changed the world with all she needed, All like people being like "Yes I can agree with her because.." That is why and how 1 person can change the world,
    Lucy.

  8. Hola,

This is a great question!!! Yes, one person can change the world. Infact, last year I was doing a speech about that. You might have heard about Vivian Harr, she was only 8 years old we she changed the world. The short way to put it is, she saw a picture of 2 brothers with boulders tied onto their backs and the brothers were being forced to walk. She wanted to help so she set up a lemonade stand and raised over 500 dollars for organisations who prevent child cruelty. You might have also heard about Rosa Parks, she stood up for injustice for black people. A few years ago my sister and I organised a cupcake sale at our school. We took orders from children and made the cupcakes. We raised over $100 for child abandonment in Madagascar! So yes, I think it is fair to say that 1 person can change the world.
